Vivian Mae Shifflett, 75 of Dyke, passed away May 6, 2023 in the University of Virginia Hospital. She was born August 14, 1947 in Charlottesville to the late John Robert Shifflett and Nancy Morris Shifflett.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Annie Shifflett, Hazel S. Scott, Arlene Hensley, and Etha Mae Shifflett; seven brothers, John Melvin, Ed, Richard Henry, Franklin, Robert Lee, Ernest and Prentis Shifflett.

She retired from Crouse-Hines of Earlysville.

Vivian is survived by her husband of 57 years of marriage, Marcus Lee Shifflett, sons, Robbie Lee Shifflett, Mark Anthony Shifflett and wife Glenda; grandchildren, Mark Anthony Shifflett Jr., Robert Andrew Shifflett and Samantha Lyn Shifflett; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Oliver, Parker, Skylar, Landon, and Madison Shifflett; special niece Virginia Shifflett and, a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday, May 12, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with interment in Evergreen Cemetery in Dyke conducted by Pastor Frank Chapman. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
