Michael William Lohr, 64 of Orange, Va., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Dogwood Village in Orange, Va. He was a member of Servants of Christ Baptist Church in Zion Crossroads, Va.
He was born on August 10, 1957, the son of the late Otis William and Bernice Berry Lohr. He was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Wayne Lohr of Orange, Va. Everyone who knew Mike knew he was a gentle kind soul, who never said a harsh word to or about anyone, had a heart of gold, loved life, his family and he loved the Lord.
He is survived by sisters, Betty Bowman (Robert) of Ruckersville, Va., Aleatha Holland (Mark) of Leesburg, Fl., Sue L. Payne (Glenn) of Gordonsville, Va.; brother, Jesse C. Lohr (Elizabeth) of Orange, Va. He also leaves behind a very special lady friend, Brenda Burns, who was his Dynamic-Duo scooter companion at Dogwood Village, a place he called home for five years. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison. Pastor Mike Nickle of Servants of Christ Baptist Church will be officiating. Interment will be in Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville, Va. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:30 on Friday at the funeral home.
We would like to thank Dogwood Village for the love and kindness shown to Mike for the five years he was there and would like to thank Angi, Tammy, and Christi for being with him during his passing. A thank you to others too numerous to mention for all their help shown to Mike. A special thanks to Dr. David Mercer, PT and OT and the Orange Dialysis team for their support.
