Born on November 20, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Dellie Metcalf. In addition to her parents, Lola was preceded in death by nine siblings and her grandsons, Robert Mason Decatur Jr. and William Kevin Hayward.

Lola is survived by her children Bonnie (Bobby) Decatur, Brenda (Billy) Hayward, Vicky (Mickie) Kent and Patricia (Jeff) Fincham, 7 grandchildren, Stacy (Tyler) Tuel, Angela (Scott) Passanesi, April (Buck) Page, Kristin Nuckols, Wendy (Mike) Weimer, Jason (Monica) Kent, Courtney (Cheynne) Haislip. 16 great grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and sister, Mildred Wilkins.

Lola was a loving, compassionate mother and always there for her family.

The family wishes to express their deep gratitude for the loving care and support provided by Dr. Karen Maughan and Hospice of the Piedmont, especially her nurse Tammy.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, December 16, 2024 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Gordonsville, VA.
