Juanita Faye Garnett, December 11, 2024

Juanita Faye Garnett, 71, of Madison Run Road, Gordonsville, died on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Lavender Hills in Orange. She was born on June 17, 1953 in Charlottesville and was the daughter of the late Lattie Henderson Coates and Mary Lee Mundy Coates. She was also predeceased by her husband James R. Garnett Jr.; and a brother Earl Henderson Coates.
Juanita is survived by two brothers Joseph Garland Coates and wife Cynthia of Gordonsville, and Lewis Lyndon Coates of Gordonsville; two nephews Jospeh Brandon Coates and wife Bridgette, and Jarryd Adam Coates; two great nieces Savannah G. Coates, and Scarlett M. Coates; two special friends Linda Borges, and Kay Jenkins.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fredericksburg. Pastor Steve Whetzel will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the Preddy Funeral Home, 250 West Main Street, Orange, VA. 22960.
