Lily Rae Woodson graced us with her sweet presence on January 28th 2020 and after a long, courageous fight with 2 congenital heart defects, she gained her angel wings on Friday July 23rd, 2021.

Lily is proceeded in death by her grandfather, Kenneth N. Woodson Jr. and Uncle Darrell T. Navarre Jr. ; She is survived by her parents Desiree and Curtis Woodson, as well as her two older sisters, Ava and Kenzie Woodson in addition to numerous grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends all of whom love her beyond words could ever express.

Lily is remembered for her constant resilience throughout the struggles she faced, her infectious giggle, and the smile that had the ability to light up the darkest of days. From the moment she entered this world, she filled hearts with a love and faith that is immeasurable and irreplaceable. Her sweet soul will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

 A big thank you goes out to the community for the love and support shown to The Woodson’s during Lily’s fight and now after; especially to the Doctors, Nurses, CNAs, and everyone else that took part in Lily’s care at the University of Virginia Health System. There are no words that would adequately thank you all for the incredible work you do daily.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday August 4, 2021 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
