Jacqueline "Jackie" H. Woodson
Jacqueline H. Woodson (Jackie), age 64, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, at Lynchburg Health and Rehabilitation. Born on April 7, 1960, in Charlottesville, Virginia, Jacqueline lived a life marked by compassion, creativity, and deep devotion to those she loved.
Jackie was the beloved wife of Gary and the cherished mother of Kristina W. Maddox. Her family was the heart of her world, and she found immense joy in her role as “Grammy” to Hailey Grace. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family to include relatives and dear friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.
Throughout her life, Jacqueline embraced the arts with passion. She found solace and expression through playing the piano and singing—gifts that brought joy not only to herself but also to those fortunate enough to hear her. She is now worshiping with our Lord in his glorious kingdom!
Jackie’s gentle nature was evident in every aspect of her life. She was known for being caring and thoughtful, always ready with a kind word or a listening ear. Her love for animals was another reflection of her tender heart; she adored her pets and treated them as treasured members of the family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Eleanor Harlow, whose memory she carried with grace throughout her life.
A memorial service celebrating Jackie’s life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Legacy Church, located at 85 Summit View Drive, Ruckersville, VA 22968. The service will take place in the sanctuary side of the barn. Immediately after the service, there will be a fellowship meal provided for anyone who would like to stay and share memories; spend time with family, and enjoy yummy food like she always did.
