Audrey Lee Crawford                                   April 8, 2025

Audrey Lee Crawford, 70, of Keswick, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at her home.

Born on March 19, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Macolm and Ruby Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Wayne Crawford Sr., her daughter, Tammy Crawford, her brother, Doug Hill, and her sisters, Linda King and Brenda Carroll.

Audrey was the matriarch of the family who loved her family with all of her heart. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. One thing she was famous for and loved doing for her family was her cooking. She will always be remembered for her Sunday breakfast pancakes and cornmeal gravy, Sunday lasagna dinner, and weekly spaghetti nights. Nobody could touch her spaghetti recipe. The love for her cats and the love they had back for her was one of a kind. There was never a day you wouldn’t find them snuggled up together, barely leaving her side, which brought her so much happiness and comfort. Audrey will be forever remembered for not just her love, but her spunk as well. One of her biggest characteristics the family loved so much because you were going to get her honesty whether you liked it or not. Her spunkiness brought so many laughs and memories that will always be cherished. We are comforted knowing she is back with her daughter, Tammy, and husband, Arnold and was welcomed at the heavenly gates with so much love and open arms by her loved one’s.

Audrey is survived by her daughter, Melissa Plumb (Tommy); her sons, A.W. Crawford (Jessica) and Robert Crawford (Stephanie); her sister, Barbara Willoughby; her brother, John Hill (Mary); her grandchildren, Brittany Gentry (Troy), Ashley Plumb, Savannah Gibson (Nate), Julia Plumb, Brooke Crawford, Christopher Deane, Dyllan Crawford, Kyle Crawford, Logan Crawford, Landon Crawford, and Madden Crawford; and her great-grandchildren, Blake Plumb, TJ Gentry, Kenzie Gentry, Brylan Fogel, Kinley Fogel, Emmy Gentry, Waylon Morris, and Addy Herndon.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Oakwood Cemetery in Charlottesville.
