On Monday, April 3, 2023 Frances passed from this world to her heavenly home where she will never thirst again. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Emma Lloyd, her husband Charles E. Shore,Jr., 4 brothers and 4 sisters. She was born in New Market, Virginia on July 17, 1926. She has three daughters, Barneata Bennett (Earl) of Stanardsville, Virgina, Louisa Poole (Maurice) of Zephyrhills, Florida and Patricia Kozlowski (James, deceased) of Dearborn, Michigan. Frances found great joy as the matriarch of six generations leaving a legacy of 14 Grandchildren, 29 Great-Grandchildren, 12 Great-Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great-Great Grandchildren. 

Frances passed away under the care of Lee and Diana from Hospice of the Piedmont, and at the home of her oldest daughter Barneata and son-in-law Earl C. Bennett, III with whom she had resided for the past several years. 

Frances spent 22 years as a Library Specialist for Anne Arundel Co. Public Schools in Maryland. She found great joy in reading books, sewing, crocheting and knitting. Frances worshiped at Ruckersville Baptist Church and is now with “her special friend Jesus”. 

Frances’ wish was to be buried next to her mother in Carlisle, PA. The family will have a private service there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
