Earl Franklin Davis, 87, of Madison, Va. passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Dogwood Village. He was born on January 2, 1934 to the late Wade Hamilton Davis and Irene Elizabeth Mallory Davis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Roberts Davis; brothers, Archie Davis, Thomas J. Davis, Wade Davis, Jr., and Herbert Davis; sisters, Mary Davis Shifflett and Hazel Davis.

Earl was a former employee of Sperry Marine for forty plus years.

He is survived by his sons, Douglas Allen Davis and wife Michelle of Ruckersville, C. Wayne Davis and wife Lucille of Baltimore, Md., Nelson Wade Davis and wife Carol of Salem, Va., and Steven Craig Davis and wife Neta of Charlottesville; two brothers, Shirley E. Davis of Stanardsville and Billie L. Davis and wife Joyce of Montford; sister, Marjorie Davis Foster of Orange; grandchildren, Brandon Michael Davis and wife Jaclyn, Emily Jayne Davis Michalos; John Andrew Davis and wife Corey, Taylor Christopher Davis, Joshua Wade Davis, Jacob Taylor Davis, Zachary James Davis, Chloe Anne Davis; great-grandchildren, Ephram James Davis, Chase Alexander Michalos, Luca John Davis and Jax Maddox Michalos.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison. Interment will be in Walkers United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Pastor Colleen Swingle-Titus. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the funeral home.
