Charlotte Brown Rhoades, 88, of Orange, VA passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Dogwood Village of Orange. She was born on February 7, 1935, in Orange, VA to the late Albert and Rachel Brown.

She is survived by her children, Sandra Morris (Gary), Rebecca Platt, Brenda Gallihugh, and Bruce “Butch” Rhoades (Connie); her brothers, Donald Brown (Brenda) of Gordonsville, and Allen Brown (Betty) of Louisa; grandsons, Mark Conley, Jerry Christopher Conley, and Prentis Conley (Jennifer) all of Orange; and great-grandchildren, Kayla Conley, Alexis Conley, Cole Conley, and Jared Patrick Conley all of Orange. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Edwin Rhoades; son-in-law, Michael Platt; three sisters; and three brothers.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 4 p.m. at Preddy Funeral Home in Orange with Pastor Dr. Steven Whetzel officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. prior to the service.

The interment will be private at Graham Cemetery.
