Audrey Carol Shifflett, 80, of Ruckersville, Virginia, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2023, surrounded by her family at the Hospice Acute Care Center.

Audrey was predeceased by her parents, James and Bernice Wise; her brothers, Laywood Wise, Thomas Wise, and Bill Wise.

She is survived by her husband, William Kenny Shifflett (Whitey); two daughters, Annette Shatz (Jerry), and Tammy Svoboda (Bart); four grandchildren, Christopher Shatz (Kirby), Casey Short (Drew), Tiffany Svoboda, and Alexyss Fowler (Michael); and seven great grandchildren, Connor, Isabell, Claira-Lynn, Emmaleigh, Hallie, Tatum, and Joseph; and two sisters, Betty Jean Powell and Joann Snow.

She worked for many years at Blue Bell in Madison, Virginia, where she made some life-long friends and retired to spend more time with her grandchildren. She was a hard-working, strong woman of faith, and a devoted attendee of Eheart Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed working with her flowers and plants and loved spending time with her family.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at the Hospice of the Piedmont for their compassion and support during her last days.

A graveside service will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens on Saturday, March 18th at 11:00 am conducted by Pastor Lee Lawson.
