Winston Wade Morris, 67 of Ruckersville, died Thursday June 29, 2023 at his residence. He was Born June 6, 1956 in Charlottesville. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene Francis Morris and a step grandson, Tristen Roach. He was retired from the Doubletree Hotel in Charlottesville. He loved spending time with his family and he enjoyed spending time on the farm, fishing and sitting on the porch watching the birds.

He is survived by his father, Junior T. Morris of Stanardsville, the love of his life, Phyllis Morris of Ruckersville, one son, J. Frank Morris (Margie) of Stanardsville, his daughter, Amanda Morris of Stanardsville, three stepdaughters, Lisa Stalnaker (Toby) of Natural Bridge, Christina Roach (Stacy) of Stanardsville, Kendall Castillo of Ruckersville, his brother, Wayne Morris (Brenda) of Stanardsville, two grandchildren, Jared Castillo Morris, Angie Morris, step grandchildren, McKayla Morris, Izzy Castillo, Justin Roach, Trevor Stalnaker, Tyler Stalnaker, Miguel Toral. Gavin Castillo, five step great-grandchildren, special friends, Fred Roach and Wanda Shifflett and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday July 3, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville with interment to follow in Knights Chapel Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Pastors Eddie and Jordan Deane will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10am to 12pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank, Dr. William Murray, Dr. Andrew Ramano and the Hospice of the Piedmont for all of their care and support.
