Wanda Marie Schreiber Sherwin, 94, of Orange died on Monday, March 14, 2022, at the Dogwood Village of Orange. She was born on December 11, 1927, in Alma, Kansas and was the daughter of the late Theodore Schreiber and Iva Marie Wertzberger. She is also predeceased by her husband John Lancelot Sherwin; and a sister Donna Schreiber Ekart.
Mrs. Sherwin was a member of St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church, and was a retired accountant for the Federal Government.
Mrs. Sherwin is survived by a daughter Julie Sherwin Dawley and husband Scott of Culpeper, a son Dr. John Theodore Sherwin and wife Suzanne of Orange; four grandchildren Stephen Dawley, Natalie Dawley Evans, Helen Dawley Braley, and John Dean R. Sherwin; and one great grandchild Julia Dianne Braley;
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 10:00 A.M., at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church, Orange with Father Terry Staples and Father David Martin officiating. The interment will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at Culpeper National Cemetery. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family.
