Doris Amilie Shular, 87, of Walters Road, Orange died on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, in Charlottesville. She was born on November 20, 1934 in Gordonsville and was the daughter of the late John Morris Knighton and Mary Louise Butler Knighton. She was also predeceased by her husband Curtis Eugene Shular; two sons Douglas Michael “Butch” King, and Dwayne Jeffrey King; and a brother Alvin Knighton.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter Dorita King Humphries of FL; a son Travis Jeffery Shular and wife Danielle of Orange; five grandchildren Cory King, Katrina King, Brandy Humphries-Betzner, Mickey King, and Sherri King; numerous great grandchildren; nephew David Knighton; and special friends Susan Jones, Brenda Jarrells, and Jo Anne Collier.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. graveside at the Graham Cemetery, Orange. Rev. David Knighton will officiate. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family.
