Vincent Stuart Pippin, 60, of Louisa, Virginia, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024. Born on August 3, 1964, Vince, as he was affectionately known, was a lifelong resident of Louisa and a cherished member of the community.
Vince’s passion for music began in middle school when he received his first guitar. He quickly formed a band that won first prize at his school’s talent show and later competed in the benefit, Battle of the Bands. His love for music was only rivaled by his love for nature and spending time outdoors, especially fishing.
Professionally, Vince dedicated many years as a machine mechanic where he was known for his meticulous work and helpful nature.
He is survived by his loving family: his mother, Patricia “Patsy” Pippin Ganiaris Thompson and father Stuart Franklin Pippin both of Louisa; his daughters, Carrie Pippin Huffman of California, and Kaylyn Pippin Hales of Louisa; granddaughter, Karmen Louise Hales; siblings Ruth Ann Pippin (Chris) Compton of Louisa, Vasilia Ganiaris (David) Wees of Canada, BC, Alexander (Paula) Ganiaris of Oregon, Demetra Ganairis (Michael) Paradise of NY.
He leaves behind a host of beloved uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins, especially his cousin Stephen Pippin.
Vince was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vincent (Chunky) Thompson, Eleanor Chiles Thompson, Carrie Stuart Payne Pippin Harris, Orian William Pippin, and James Russell Harris.
A Spring Celebration of Life will be held to honor Vince’s memory. Details of the celebration will be shared with family and friends. Vince will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his passion for music and nature, and his kind-hearted spirit. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
