Russell was employed at the Culpeper Farmers Co-op for 37 years. No farmer wanted any other employee to take care of their land like Russell did. They would always request him. They all loved dad and his skills.
He loved refinishing furniture and loved his vegetable gardens. Everyone would stop by to comment on what beautiful gardens he produced. Dad also loved to have yard sales, and everyone knew what a bargain they would get when they came by his house, he never knew a stranger. People would sit for hours at a time talking to him. Dad loved his family, especially his wife and daughter, His daughter was there with her father to the end, as the saying goes "daddy’s little girl"
Dad loved the Lord and served as a member of Gib Brown Bible Baptist for over 40 years. He loved going to church and enjoyed Pastor John Burke’s preaching.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mountain View Nursing Home Staff for taking such loving and great care of our husband/father while his stay there and in his final days before he entered into Heaven.
A funeral service will be Wednesday December 7, 2022 at 11:00 am at Preddy Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Jon Heddleston with visitation one hour before service. Interment will be in Sperryville Cemetery.
