Robert Wilson Braxton                       March 20, 2025

Robert Wilson Braxton, 71, of Orange passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, in Orange. He was the son of the late Clifton Braxton, and Florence Mae Long Braxton, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Clifton Braxton Jr., and sisters, Barbara Ann Braxton, and Judy Touchette. He was retired from American Woodmark and was a funeral home assistant for Preddy Funeral Home.

He is survived by his son, Timothy O’Neil Nixon, of Orange, brothers, Jack Braxton, of Scranton Pa., John Braxton, of Orange, Michael Braxton, of Orange, Lee Braxton, and wife Carol, of Orange, Freddie Braxton, and wife Josie, of Charlottesville, Thomas Braxton, and wife Tiffany, of Newport News, a sister, Donna B. Carter, and husband Mark, of Orange, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 31, 2025, from the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Orange with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery. Pastor Thomas Bailey will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
