Our History
Preddy Funeral Home was established in 1916 in the town of Gordonsville, Virginia. From the beginning, the firm was dedicated to serving families with fairness, professionalism, and care.
In 1923, a second location was opened in Orange, Virginia, allowing the funeral home to expand its reach throughout Orange County and the surrounding communities.
In 1994, the Preddy family expanded once again, opening a third location in Madison County to better serve families in Madison and neighboring areas.
Today, Preddy Funeral Home operates three locations and serves more than 500 families each year across Central Virginia. Known regionally as one of the most respected funeral service providers in the greater Charlottesville area, the firm continues its long-standing tradition of community service and professional excellence.
