Mozelle Johnson Ogungbji                       December 10, 2024

Mozelle Johnson Ogungbji 65, of Alexandria Virginia departed this life peacefully on Tuesday December 10, 2024, at her home.

Mozelle was born on June 22, 1959, to the late Clyde Lewis Johnson and Estelle Carter Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Clyde Johnson Sr, David Johnson, Wilmar Johnson Sr, James Johnson Sr, Phillip Johnson and sisters Pauline Brown, Marva Tyler, Mary Ruffner and nephews Clyde Johnson Jr and Sylvester (Joey) Johnson.

She received her education in Orange County Public Schools, went to Smith Business School and graduated with an associate degree in 1983 . Mozelle was a Security guard for over 40 years and private investigator for 20 years. Mozelle enjoyed watching her Dallas Cowboys, dancing, reading, listening to music and spending time with family especially her grandchildren. She was the center of the family; everyone knew they could go to her for anything. Her love for helping family and friends showed in everything she did.

Mozelle leaves to cherish her memory husband Micheal Ogungbji and son Hakim Lee Terrell Sani-Omolori, two granddaughters Mya Sani-Omolori and Zoe Sani-Omolori; six brothers John Lee Johnson Sr., Kevin Johnson (Lisa), Earl Johnson (Tilly), Richard Johnson Sr. (Darlene), Jeffery Johnson (Karen), Merrill Johnson Sr. (Hope); three sisters Clara Johnson (Randolph), Estelle Johnson Minor (James) and Ivy Johnson Long. She also leaves a host of cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 20, at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow immediately at the family cemetery in Barboursville, Virginia.
