Mary “Mackie” McIntyre Maupin 87, of Barboursville passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022 in Culpeper Regional Hospital with her family by her side. She was born January 26, 1935 in Barboursville and was the daughter of the late, Montzere Malcolm Myers and Sallie Pauline Clark Myers. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Stuart Maupin and a sister, Pauline M. Blakey.

Mackie was a long time Orange County Sheriff’s dispatcher, Orange County Deputy and retired from the Orange County Regional Jail. She was a lifetime member of the Barboursville United Methodist Church and Barboursville Volunteer Fire Department.

She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn M. Bledsoe of Charlottesville; son, Gordon “Bunkey” S. Maupin Jr. and wife Gwen of Barboursville; grandchildren, Matthew Bledsoe and wife Katie, Logan Bledsoe and wife Stephanie, Tyler Maupin and wife Ashley, Trey Maupin and wife Samantha; and three great-grandchildren, Bennett Maupin, Sam and Will Bledsoe.

A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 AM. Friday, May 27, 2022 at Maplewood Cemetery in Gordonsville conducted by Pastor Ethan Shearer.
