Lindberg, Marjorie Evelyn Barnes, died July 1st 2021 in Gordonsville Virginia. She was born May 17th, 1922 in Oberlin Kansas to Jessie Wooley and Lorenzo (Rennie) Barnes, a nephew of Wild Bill Hickok.
She went to Washington DC at the start of WWII where she worked in various war related departments and married photographer Samuel Lindberg, then an Army sargent. After the war she worked in the State Department and the Atomic Energy Commission. They had two children and lived in Barnesville MD, Puerto Rico, Cumberland MD, and Bethesda MD, both retiring and moving to Gordonsville about 1980 and operating a small antique business in Ruckersville, which she continued to run after Sam’s death in 1995, still going in several days a week until recently.
 
She is survived by her children Darla Romine and Laurence (w. Rhonda Dehrenbach) Lindberg, and seven grandchildren; Nora (h. Jesus) Ayala, Rachel Romine, Lindsay Bloch, Aaron Bloch, Ilse (h. John Born) Lindberg, Lars Lindberg, and Lili Lindberg. Burial was in the Culpeper National Cemetery on July 6th.
