Margaret Arlene Rollins, 75 of Orange, died Thursday August 11, 2022. Born January 5, 1947 in Charlottesville, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Shifflett and Edna Dean Dillon. She was the wife of the late Thomas Earl Rollins and she was also preceded in death by her step father, Gordon Dillon, her sister, Pat Dabney and brother, Bobby Shifflett. Margaret worked for a number of years at Liberty Fabrics in Gordonsville and retired from Prospect Heights Middle School where she worked in the cafeteria.
She is survived by two daughters, Tracey Burruss and husband Joshua of Orange, Melissa Morris and fiancé Mike Tyler of Gordonsville, her sister, Brenda McDaniel of Crozet, six grandchildren, Tyler Ryder and wife Emily, Bradley Morris and wife Jessica, Brandon Morris, Adam Tyler, Cooper Burruss and wife Karina, Amanda Tyler and husband Tim, six great-grandchildren, Blake Morris Bryce Morris, Thomas Ryder, Veronica Ryder, Alex Ohare, Andrew Norman and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday October 1, 2022 at the Barboursville Fire House.
Preddy Funeral Home of Gordonsville is assisting the family.
