Mae Strickler Taylor 89 of Gordonsville passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022 in Charlottesville. She was born July 1, 1933 in Gordonsville to the late Vernon Charles Stricker and Mable Gwendolyn Norford Strickler. She is also preceded in death by her twin sister, Gay C. Powell and sister Gwendolyn P. Wood.                             

Mae was a member

of the Gordonsville United Methodist Church

and she was retired from Bank of America in Gordonsville. She joined the

Gordonsville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary in 1960 and was an active

member for over 50 years. 

She is survived by her husband, Garnett A. Taylor;

daughter, Jane Pace; grandson, Jonathan Pace; and number of nieces and nephews. 

A Funeral service

will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 15, 2022

at the Gordonsville United Methodist Church conducted by Pastor Ethan Shearer

with interment in Maplewood Cemetery. The Family will receive friends following

the interment in the fellowship hall of the church.
