Mabel, affectionately known as Mabeline, Lingy, Maw Maw was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a lover of food, the color purple, laughing, music, her family and friends. To know Mabel is to have laughed with or to have shared a kind word, whether a close friend or stranger. Being humbly social was a special gift upon which Mabel was bestowed; those around her were drawn to her laughter and infectious personality. Selflessness and generosity were two traits that highlighted Mabel’s life.
Mabel was not shy about her faith in Jesus and made it known to everyone around her. She loved volunteering in the nursery at church, singing in the choir and serving where there might be a gap. Global missions was Mabel’s heartbeat. She desired that everyone know who she loved most –Jesus.
