Lisa Ann Cullers Williams, 58, of Shenandoah, VA, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at UVA Hospital. Born on April 19, 1966, she was the beloved daughter of Genneva (Katie) Mae Kuykendall Cullers and the late Charles Edward Cullers; and the devoted mother to Zach and Julia Williams.
A devout Christian with a profound faith, Lisa found strength and comfort in her spiritual beliefs throughout her life. Her unwavering faith guided her actions and provided solace in times of need, touching the lives of those around her with her kindness and grace. Lisa embarked on ten mission trips, dedicating her time and energy to serving others and making a positive impact in communities far and wide.
Lisa was an avid reader and enjoyed journaling, finding both activities to be sources of inspiration and reflection. Her ability to connect with people was evident in her joy of making friends with strangers, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father and her infant sisters, Susan Lynn Cullers and an unnamed baby girl Cullers. She is survived by her loving mother, Katie; her cherished children, daughter Julia Lynn Williams of Shenandoah, VA, and son Zach Lee Williams, his wife Sarah, and their son Axel M. Williams of Harrisonburg, VA; and her devoted partner of 11 years, Rod Sharp. She is also fondly remembered by Rod’s daughters, Ashley Sharp and Rachael McGinnis; along with her husband, Devon, and their son, Haddon McGinnis.
Lisa’s vibrant spirit, compassionate heart, and dedication to her family and faith will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished by her many friends, extended family, and the community she so lovingly served.
A celebration of Lisa’s life and faith will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 12:00 noon at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison, VA. Pastors Dr. John Huelskoetter, Tim Duggins, and Dickie Campbell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, prior to the service. There will be a luncheon and reception following the service at Beth Car Baptist Church in Madison, VA.
