Lawrence Watson, 79 of Gordonsville died Sunday April 24, 2022 at his Residence. Born November 28, 1942 in Barboursville, he was the son of the late Simon Frank Watson and Cora Lee Rogers Watson. Larry served in the U.S. Army and he was retired from Kloeckner Pentaplast. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and he also loved to hunt and watch Nascar.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Riner Watson, three sons, Barry Watson and wife Lisa, Paul Watson, Dwayne Watson and wife Jodie, one daughter, Jennifer Watson Walker and husband Travis, one sister, Elsie Clatterbuck and husband Harold, seven grandchildren, Stephen Watson, Jeremy Watson, Devin Wood, Brandon Wood, Cayden Watson, Hannah Watson, Jayden Walker and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers, John Watson, Roy Watson, Harry Watson, Alvin Watson, Frank Watson, Jr., Delmer Watson, his sisters, Irene Fisk and Lucille Hensley.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday May 7, 2022 at Maplewood Cemetery in Gordonsville with Pastor Terry Jewell officiating.
