William Richard “Bill” Hepler, 80 of Goshen, VA, died Saturday February 5, 2022, at Augusta Medical Center. Born July 13, 1941, in Culpeper, he was the son of the late Raymond David Hepler and Bertha Blanch Wilson Hepler. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen E. Hepler, his stepmother, Georgia Pfadt Hepler, four sisters and one brother. Mr. Hepler worked in the Architectural and Construction industries for forty years. He was a member of Mechanicsville Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school for 25 years, served as a deacon for 20 years and served as a trustee for many years as well.

He is survived by his great-granddaughter, Kiarah “Kiki” Garrett and fiancé Joshua Jamerson of Buena Vista, four stepchildren, Julia “Suzie” Garrett and husband Donald of Gordonsville, Aubrey Redford, Jr. and wife Robin of Sheldon, CT, Marsha L. Cordova and husband John of Sheridan, Or and Sun City, AZ, Mary Q. “Queta” Watson and husband Roderick of Farmville and a host of step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday February 11, 2022, at Mechanicsville Baptist Church Cemetery, 10200 Louisa Road, Gordonsville, VA 22942. The Rev. Roy Thomas will officiate.
