Joyce Katherine Shotwell Snow, 100 of Elly, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Mt. View Nursing Home. She was born on April 9, 1922 to the late Jacob Birckhead Shotwell and Bertha Shotwell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Myron Snow; son, Richard Wilmer Snow; brothers, Allen Shotwell, J. B. Shotwell, Gilmore Shotwell; sisters, Azubell Farrar, Guyula Shifflett, and Ruby Douglas.

She is survived by her daughters, Bertha Louise Anderson and Brenda Joyce Woodward, both of Madison; daughter-in-law, Frances Snow of Madison; sister-in-law, JoAnn Gallihugh of Ruckersville; and seven grandchildren. Joyce had a special granddaughter that was very dear to her heart. She had many grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren. whom she all adored.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison, Va. conducted by Rev. Russell Biber. Interment will be in Holly Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 11:30 to 12:30 at the funeral home.
