John Clennon Rogers
 May 30, 1945 – April 19, 2025
John Clennon Rogers, 79, of Orange, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at his home.
Born in Montgomery, Maryland, on May 30, 1945, Johnny was the son of the late Joe Clennon Rogers and Margie Adaline Stubbs Rogers Nash.
Johnny's life was marked by his hard work, dedication, and love for his family and community. He spent his early years as a cattle farmer at his grandfather’s farm, Hazelhurst, in Somerset, Virginia. Over the years, he built a successful career as a truck driver and backhoe operator, working with companies like Webster Brick, Orange Steel and Roofing, and later, running his own horse hauling business, Virginia Equine Transport.
He was a proud member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kensington, Maryland, and held memberships with the Gordonsville Grays SCV Camp #2301 and the Virginia Beef Cattle Improvement Association.
Outside of his work, Johnny had a deep passion for the outdoors. He loved hunting with his fox hounds, trout fishing, and attending races at the Richmond Raceway. He was also an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, enjoying the freedom of the open road. However, Johnny’s greatest joy came from spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He often said that the best years of his life were those spent raising his daughters, and he was known for his patience, kindness, and unwavering love.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wilber Desales Stubbs, and grandmother, Mary Adeline Hurdle Stubbs; his father, Joe Clennon Rogers, and mother, Margie Adaline Stubbs Rogers; brother, Clayton Nash, and sisters, Margie Sue Rogers, Jo Ellen Rogers Hurdle, Toni Nash: and grandson, Blain Riner.

He is survived by a wife, Lynn Jones Rogers; daughters Lisa A Ramey, Alicia Rogers Carrico, Laurie Rogers Brown, Julie Rogers, Adrienne Rogers, Carla S. Wright, and Nan S. Dix; sons John M. Luthi and Gary R. Seale, Jr.; brothers, Jayce and William Nash; grandchildren, Ashlyn and Justin Ramey, Ryann, Samantha, and Payton Luthi, Kayla and Tucker Herr, Julian Hale, Declan Garver, Rhiannon, Sydney, & Alayna Johnson, Isiah and Arianna Brown, Connor, Dawson, and Ashlyn Weems, Ava and Jacob Wright, Andrew and John Dix; great-grandchildren, Weston Hawkins, Brady Miller, Riley Ramey, Briele, Bexley, Ivory, and Huntley McDaniel, Elsie and Lydia Herr.
