Jesse Cleveland Lohr Sr. 76, of Monrovia Road, Orange died on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at his son’s residence. Jesse was born on October 3, 1947, in Charlottesville and was the son of the late Otis W. Lohr and Bernice Berry Lohr. Jessie was also predeceased by two brothers Michael Lohr and Timothy Lohr. Jesse was a Army Veteran and owned and operated his own construction business.

Jesse is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Pidgie” M. Lohr of Orange; two sons Jesse C. Lohr Jr. and wife Kristin of Orange, and Stephen Lohr and wife April of Orange; four grandchildren Shane Lohr, Jordyn Lohr, Brayden Lohr, and Brystol Lohr all of Orange; and three sisters Betty Bowman and husband Robert of Ruckersville, Aleatha Holland and husband Mark of FL, and Sue L. Payne and husband Glenn of Gordonsville.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at the Preddy Funeral Chapel, Orange with interment in the Graham Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Preddy Funeral Home, Orange. Rev. Timmy Jarrell will officiate.
