Rev. Jerry Spencer Riggins, 82 of Louisa, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 18, 2021. Born December 20, 1938 in Wythe County, VA, he was the son of the late Cecil Cleve Riggins and Annie Davis Riggins. Jerry was the former Pastor of Memorial Baptist Church and Berea Baptist both in Louisa. He was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation where he worked as an engineer.

Mr. Riggins is survived by his wife of 63 years, Novella Bralley Riggins, two daughters, Sherry R. Fleshman and husband Steve, Lynn R. Baggett and husband Farrow all of Louisa, one brother, Roger K. Riggins of Catlett, a sister, Joyce R. Cregger of Max Meadows, VA, a son-in-law, Greg Wilburn, six grandchildren, Dustin Riggins, Derek Wilburn, Lindsey Bane, Hannah Bane, Amber Payne, LeAnna Fleshman, three great-grandchildren, Laylah Gross, Kyng Waddy, Hunter Payne and a host of other relatives and friends.

He is also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Michael Riggins, a daughter, Jeannie R. Wilburn and a brother, Charles W. Riggins.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 21, 2021 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Louisa with Rev. Jim Blackwell and Pastor Jim Stone officiating.
