James Alvin Williams, age 90, of Barboursville, Virginia, passed away at his home on July 10, 2024.

Born on May 6, 1934, he was the son of the late George Nicholas Williams and Elmer Gibson Williams. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Memorie Mouberry Williams.

Alvin was a simple man, and was a hard worker even from the age of 13 years old. He took care of his family and owned and operated Williams Lumber for almost 77 years.

He is survived by his son, James Shannon Williams and his wife Tina; and by his two grandsons, Michael and Travis Williams.

Funeral services will be private.
