Helen Kathryn Russell Trimm             February 12,  2023

Helen Kathryn Russell Trimm of Madison, Virginia, passed away on February 12, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 14, 1943, to the late Sylvia Duncan Russell and Joseph Alvin Russell in Oliver Springs, Tennessee.

Helen found her calling as a registered nurse, earning her degree at Northern Virginia Community College and serving as a surgical nurse in the hospital and outpatient settings at Reston Hospital Center and Circle Terrace Hospital.

The most beautiful person inside and out, Helen always lit up the room. She was the most kind-hearted, caring, and positive person, always thinking of others and letting them know how special they are. Through Camp Varsity, which she and her husband ran, she cultivated lifelong friends and made an impact on the lives of countless campers. Spending time with family and friends and welcoming them with her wonderful homemade cooking brought her and those around her great joy. She enjoyed being outdoors in nature, the four seasons of the year, and creating a beautiful landscape and blooming flowers throughout the property.

Helen is the beloved wife of Eddie Ray Trimm, happily married for 33 years. They made their life together in Madison - a community and neighbors they dearly love.

She is the loving mother to John Fox and his fiancé Holly Newman, Frank Fox and his fiancé Uyvonka Jones and their daughter Jailah Channer, and Donna Fox and her husband Brahim Khiraoui.

She is the most precious sister to Judy Russell and Patsy Carpenter and her husband Bob Carpenter. Adored by her nieces and nephews. Her loyal black Labrador Retriever, Leo, was inseparable and always by her side.

She will be deeply missed. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
