Alice June Breeden              February 12,  2023

Alice June Breeden, 93 of Reva, Va., went to be with the Lord and join her beloved husband, Alvin Wayne Breeden, Sr. on Sunday, February 12, 2023. She was born September 28, 1929 to the late Norman Ashby Payne, Sr. and Leah Roberta Gore Payne. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Evelyn Rodda, Farrel Payne, Marion Bennet, Norma Lewis Payne, Juanita Partlow, Allen Payne, and Leah Snyder.

During her 70 years as a farmer's wife, June cared for animals, made hay, gardened, canned, and shared her good cooking with anyone who stopped by.  June was very artistic; she painted China, sewed dolls and plush animals for her grandchildren, and taught them to do crafts as well.  June Breeden was famous for her great love for babies and her uncanny ability to keep them happy! In Sunday schools and church nurseries she was everyone's grandma, and we will miss her greatly.

She is survived by her son, Alvin Wayne Breeden, Jr. and wife Dianna; daughters, Wanda June Breeden Cutright and husband Edwin, and Brenda Breeden Berry and husband Edward; all of Reva; brother, Norman Payne, Jr.; sisters, Beverly Chesser and Linda Lieb; grandchildren, Renea Duelm, Daniel Breeden, Beth Kilgore, David Breeden, Julie Perez, Rebecca Lough, Anna Cutright, Andrew Cutright, Emily Cook, Marianna Brickle, Edwin Luther Cutright, Heather Berry, Sandy Lapp; and 31 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Pastor Willy Perez will conduct the service.



Interment will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper.
