Gene Thomas Gibson, 83, of Cismont, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at his home.

 He was born in Cismont, Virginia on April 14, 1941, to the late Lawerence Anderson Gibson and Virgie Kirby Gibson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Lawson Gibson; and his siblings Alice Gibson, Reasel Gibson, Bernard Gibson, Gladys Durham, Frances Wood, Evelen Sipe, and Marylee Wood.

 He is survived by his children, Donna Morris and her husband Peanut Morris, Gene T. Gibson Jr. and his wife Annette Gibson, Valarie Gibson and Cindy Gibson, Roger Gibson and Joyce Payne; his seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service with be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Holly Memorial Gardens with Pastor Shawn Edwards officiating.
