Florence Hutchinson Burruss, 91, of Orange, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, in Culpeper. She was born on September 11, 1931, to the late, George Thomas and Helen Edwards Hutchinson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Eugene Burruss: her daughter, Wanda Elaine Burruss Helmick; two brothers, George William Hutchinson, and Sidney Lee Hutchinson; and her grandson, Jeremy Wayne Burruss.

Mrs. Burruss is survived by her son, Donald Eugene Burruss, and wife Teresa, of Orange; her sister, Elsie Lee, of Orange; her grandson, Joshua Eugene Burruss, and wife Tracey, of Orange; two great-grandsons, Tyler Ryder and wife, Emily, and Cooper Burruss and wife, Karina; two great-great-grandchildren, Thomas, and Veronica Ryder; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Preddy Funeral Home, 250 W Main St. Orange, VA 22960.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Rhoadesville Baptist Church Cemetery.
