Edna Baine Smith Meador, 98, formally of Brightwood, Va., passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in Richmond, Va. She was born on October 3, 1922 to the late George Edward Smith, Jr. and Lelia Virginia Weaver Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Everett Meador; a son, James Edward Meador; brother Oscar Jackson Smith; two sisters, Virginia Elizabeth Moore and Eleanor Louise Towle; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Meador.

Edna was a secretary for Home Beneficial Insurance Company.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Madison, Va.
