David Wayne Smith, 65, of Charlottesville, Va. passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at the Hospice of Piedmont. He was born on August 18, 1955 to the late David Hugh Smith and Constance Elizabeth Green Henderson. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tiffany Ann Nicole Smith.

He is survived by two daughters, Tara Elizabeth Smith and Dawn Renee Grimm; two sons, Thomas Wayne Smith and David Wayne Smith, Jr.; brother, Ronald E. Smith; sister Sheryl Albright; grandchildren, Skye E. Smith, Landon W. Smith, Channing B. Elthridge, Dakota J. Kitzmiller, Deja M. Moran, Kaitlyn Moran, Christer M. Moran, Wyatt Smith, Gage Crimm, Nevaeh Wompler, Auri Wompler; niece, Morgan Ann Albright.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
