Dana Lou Taylor Shifflett, 73 of Culpeper, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 in Charlottesville, Va. surround by her three daughters and her twin brother. She was born on December 25, 1947 in Greene County to the late Bealey Taylor and Lizzie Taylor.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Shifflett; two brothers, Willie B. Taylor and Robert Lee Taylor; two sisters, Elsie Taylor and Joann Lesueur. After being widowed, she found love again and was preceded in death by Roger Stanley.

Mom retired from Best Western in Culpeper, Va. and known to most as Memaw. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Mom we will miss you!! We love you so much!!

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her three daughters, Stacey Kirby (Michael), Michelle Gaines (Jr.), Christina Shifflett (C.J.); her twin brother, David Taylor; a stepson, Ronnie Shifflett (Susan); eight grandchildren, William (Rachel), Samantha, Mikey, Devin, Amanda, Jake (Tori), Ashley (Denny), and Caroline; 11 great-grandchildren, Riley, Harper, Ava, Will, Levi, Karissa, Dakota, Shelbie, Dawson “little man”, J. D. and Mackenzie.

A graveside funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Warrenton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison.
