Heaven needed another soldier so God called home his strongest.

Robert Tyler Utz of Orange went home on December 15, 2022 after a battle with a rare form of cancer on his heart.

Born September 4, 1993 in Albemarle County. Tyler was always a happy, smiling young man with a love for his family and friends. He attended OCHS in Orange and worked at Walmart Distribution Center in Zions Crossroads.

Tyler is survived by his father, Robert Utz of Orange; his mother Gail Tracy and stepfather Brad of Argos, Indiana; a sister, Stephanie Sykes and boyfriend John Dean of Harrisonburg; a brother, Zachary Utz of Argos, Indiana. His grandfather, Jerry Wolfrey and companion Peggy Wright of Georgia. Three sets of aunts and uncles: Conway and Wendi Wolfrey of Burr Hill, Juli Wolfrey and Donald Blough of Burr Hill, and Billy and Michelle Utz of Louisa. A nephew James Sykes of Harrisonburg; and three cousins Jackson and Parker Wolfrey, and Chase Blough.

‘Don’t cry because my life is over, smile because I lived.’

Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family.
