Claudia Ring                                          July 26, 2024

Claudia Cassandra (Easteadt) Ring, age 80, of Zion Crossroads, Virginia, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on January 31, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Frederic Cornelius Favre and Francis Eleanore Alexander. In addition to her parents, Claudia was preceded in death by her husbands James K. Easteadt and Richard N. Ring, and her sister Heather Hazlett.

Claudia was born in Fairview, NJ and was raised in Demarest and Closter. She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her Christian faith was always at the center of everything she did, including raising her family and her lifelong work as a missionary with Campus Crusade for Christ where she worked until retirement. In retirement, she blessed her family with all of her love, time, and resources and her community with volunteering at her church and leading a long-running women’s bible study in her neighborhood. She loved well, was well-loved, and will be missed dearly.

Claudia is survived by her daughter, Kim Buckley, and her sons, Mark Easteadt and Scott Easteadt as well as her nine grandchildren.

Her wake and funeral service will be held at The Point Church (155 Hansen Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22911). While we are mourning Claudia, we are also celebrating her life, so please do not feel the need to dress formally or somberly. The wake will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 16 and the funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 17. The burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville, VA. Everyone is invited to join us for a luncheon reception back at The Point after the burial service.
