Carolyn Faith Leake April 3, 2025
Carolyn Faith Leake, 70, of Ruckersville, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at her home after an eighteen-year battle with cancer.
Born on October 29, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Elsie Crawford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Linwood Allen Leake Jr.
Carolyn retired from the University of Virginia Health Care System where she worked as an administrative assistant in the Department of Endocrinology. Carolyn will be remembered for her love of gardening, and the joy she got from watching and feeding the birds. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Diane Leake; her sons, Chris Leake (Ashley) and Shawn Leake (Judy); her brother, Stephen Crawford; her sisters, Donna Harris and Nancy Dutton; her grandchildren, Miranda Herr (Tucker), Matthew Leake (Jennifer), and Marcus Leake (Caitlin); and her great-grandchildren, Elsie Herr, Lydia Herr, Evelyn Leake, and Rowan Leake.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
