Carlyle Buchannon Jones “C.B.”, 87, of Unionville Va. passed away on August 18, 2021 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg Va. He was born to the late Dawson C. and Lottie Hall Jones in Louisa Va. Additionally, he was predeceased by brothers; Douglas C., Garland R., Stuart R Jones; sister, Gloria F Jones.; nephew, Dennis Jones and great nephew Jordan M. Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal S. Jones of Unionville; son, Dawson C. Jones of Louisa Va; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.

Carlyle graduated from Fork Union Military Academy and served in the United States Air Force. He was certified by the United Association of Pipefitters & Plumbers. Over the years he was a truck driver for Yellow Freight, Newman Trucking, Stafford Pallet Corp., & E.M. Jones Trucking, just to name a few. He retired from North Anna Nuclear Power Plant after working there for many years part- and full-time.

Carlyle enjoyed the outdoors, Nascar, football, watching old movies and cookouts.  He loved traveling so he could see and learn about other beautiful places in the United States, but there was never any place better than home. No matter where he went, he always made new friends and met up with old ones, even as far south as Florida or as far north as Maine. He was a member of Sharon Christian Church in Bumpass Va. and attended Salem Methodist Church in Rhoadesville, Va.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm. on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville Va. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

A private burial will be held at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery, Louisa Va.
