Albert Graper Collier, 82 of Greene, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 25, 1939 to the late Elbert Collier and Carrie Shifflett Collier. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harrison (Woody) Collier and Winston Collier.

He was devoted to his family and always joking with people. He retired from Shenandoah Pride, formally Monticello Dairy, with 44 years of service. He collected guns, knives, and race cars. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Allie Lee Collier; daughter, Teresa Deane and husband Christopher; son, Wendell Collier and wife Debbie; three grandchildren, Carrie and Clay Jackson, Tabitha and Chris Zyderveld and Cody Collier; two great-grandchildren, Sadie Collier and Colton Zyderveld, who nicknamed Granddaddy Rabbit; two sisters, Thelma Morris and Peggy Bohannon;  brother, Max (Boo) Collier and wife Ruby; sister-in-law, Margie Collier; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Piedmont for all their help at this difficult time.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison. Interment will be in Holly Memorial Gardens. Pastor Larry Morris will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 am, at the funeral home.
