Betty Louise Sholes Wyant, 65, of Waynesboro, Va. passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Augusta Health. She was born on July 21, 1959 to the late Henry Lee Sholes, Sr. and Gloria Louise Lamb Sholes.  She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Lee Wyant; sisters, Donna Dee Peyton and Sandy Lee Sholes; nieces, Angela Sholes and Lisa Peyton.

Betty was an avid crocheter, collector of random things, and lover of furry animals. In her younger days she was a CNA and loved caring for the sick and elderly. Betty especially loved her dog, Jack.

She is survived by her ex-husband and best friend, Danny Lee Wyant; son, Chad Everett Wyant; sister, Sarah Louise McCormick; brothers, Henry Lee Sholes, Jr., Kenneth Lee Sholes, and David Lee Sholes.

The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Betty loved all animals and would like any donations made to your local SPCA. She would also ask if anyone had yarn or crocheting supplies to donate to local organizations or nursing homes in honor of her lifelong hobby.
