Betty Diane Brill              April 11, 2023

Betty Diane Brill, 76 of Stanardsville, VA., passed away peacefully in the presence of her family at UVA Medical Center on April 11, 2023. She was born on August 1, 1946 in Louisa County to the late James Warren Lanford and Grace Dowell Lanford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Warren Dandridge “Danny” Lanford.

Diane leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 53 years James Hunley “Jimmie” Brill Jr.; son, Herman Floyd “Chip” Deane III and his wife Donna; grandchildren whom she cherished dearly, James Warren “Jamie” Deane (Carly) and Amanda Deane Boland (Jared); great granddaughter, Lily Jane Boland and great grandson, Heath Monroe Boland; her sister Barbara Hill of Hague, Va. and a host of other relatives and friends.

Diane was an employee for Comdial Telecommunications for 20 years. She then pursued a career in Real Estate and became a Realtor in the Piedmont VA area. Diane was a kind, caring person who also had a huge heart for animals. She volunteered at the Greene County Animal Shelter for many years and worked diligently to find loving and caring homes for all the animals. Known as “Grandma Diane”, she will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
