Bessie Peyton Pritchett, 81, of Gordonsville passed away peacefully at home on October 1, 2022. Bessie loved the town of Gordonsville and spent many years working at Liberty Fabrics, the Gordonsville Pharmacy, and Food Lion. She enjoyed watching sports and spending time with her grandson Bo, cooking family dinners and shopping for her great grandchildren. She is survived by her son Steve Pritchett and wife Kim, two brothers, Cecil Peyton and Randolph Peyton, two grandchildren Bo Pritchett, and Paige Pritchett Wallace and husband James Wallace, three great granddaughters, Kadence Wallace, Peyton Wallace, and Carolina Wallace, and a few very special nieces and nephews. Bessie is preceded in death by her husband Curtis Pritchett, sister, Phyliss Peyton, brothers W.C Peyton, Ray Peyton, and Wayne Peyton.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday October 6, 20222 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville with interment to follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Gordonsville.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday October 5, 2022 at the funeral home.
