Arnold Wayne (Abe) Albright passed away of natural causes at the age of 90, Sunday, January 23rd 2022 at his home in Orange, Virginia.

 Mr. Albright served as an artillery officer in the US Army, graduated from West Virginia University and went on to an illustrious career in network radio and television, acting as a sports director, news director and news producer at several major network affiliates including WIND in Chicago, Ill. and KDKA in Pittsburgh, Pa. He produced an early news roundtable for PBS, and owned a local NBC affiliate radio station, WANB in Waynesburg, Pa. During his career he had the opportunity to meet and interview many significant public figures, including Senator Robert Kennedy, Senator Barry Goldwater and actress Debbie Reynolds. In retirement, he relocated to Orange from Strasburg, Va. to be nearer his daughters, where he became active in the community and volunteered with his beloved Veteran’s Park and the Boys and Girls Club of Orange.

 Mr. Albright is survived by four children, Carla and husband Kevin Passarello of Gordonsville, Va., Liza and husband Dr. Randall Moorman of Keswick, Va., Curt Albright and wife Michelle of Annapolis, Md., Lora Albright and David Dick of Pittsburgh, Pa., eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He will be buried with honors at the National Military Cemetery at Grafton, WVA where a private ceremony for family members is planned for early spring.
