William Kenny Shifflett (Whitey), 82, of Ruckersville, Virginia, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2024, at the Greene Acres Rehab & Nursing Center.

Kenny was predeceased by his wife, Audrey Shifflett; parents, Davis Shifflett and Mary Beasley; his brothers, James, Luther, and Randolph Shifflett.

He is survived by three brothers, Leon Beasley (Carla), Harmon Shifflett (Lucy), and Howard Shifflett (Francis); two sisters, Hattie Brill and Joyce Wheeler (Johnny); two daughters, Annette Shatz (Jerry), and Tammy Svoboda (Bart); four grandchildren, Christopher Shatz (Kirby), Casey Short (Drew), Tiffany Svoboda, and Alexyss Fowler (Michael); and eight great grandchildren, Connor, Isabell, Claira-Lynn, Emmaleigh, Hallie, Tatum, Joseph and Noah.

He worked for and retired from ConAgra in Crozet, Virginia, where he made some life-long friends.  He was a hard-working, strong man of faith, attended Eheart Pentecostal Holiness Church, enjoyed eating out, and loved spending time with his family.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at the Greene Acres Rehab & Nursing Center for their compassion and support during his last days. They would also like to thank Steve Morris for all the help and companionship he provided to Kenny and his family.

A graveside service will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville at 11:00 am on Monday, September 16, 2024.
