Wiliam Jacob Alger                                          January 2, 2024

William Jacob Alger, 45, of Haywood, passed away on January 2, 2024, from a dreadful disease, ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease. He was born on March 29, 1978.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Tiffany Gardiner and their cherished children, Morgan, Marcus, and Macy Gardiner-Alger and Mikayla and Jimmy Johnson. In addition, he is survived by his father and mother, Russ and Julie Alger and siblings, Russ, Jodi, and Ben Alger. He was preceded in death by his father-and-mother-in-law, James and Becky Gardiner.

Jake never met a person that he didn't know. He was a man of integrity who was such a great daddy, husband, and friend. He was an avid hunter who loved his adventures with his wife, children, and friends. He loved to watch his children play sports and was often the coach. He will be greatly missed and will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his determination.

We have been supported throughout Jake’s battle with a multitude of people who are so appreciated, but some special friends in our life have supported our family through many obstacles. Without you guys, our life would have been unbearable.

A funeral service will be officiated by Max Greiner at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison. The interment will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison.
